Delivery Policy

Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Easter, Father's Day, Christmas
Complimentary delivery within North Adelaide suburb is not valid during peak periods ie: Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Easter, Father's Day and Christmas. Price can be subject to change at any time.

Please ensure the address you have supplied is correct as redelivery will incur an extra fee (couriers charge for each delivery). We are unable to accept responsibility for non delivery if the address supplied is incorrect.

No deliveries on Sundays and Public Holidays with the exception of Valentine's Day, Mother's Day. When these events fall on a sunday or public holiday orders will incur a $10.00 surcharge ontop of normal delivery fee. 
 

Specific Time Delivery Requests (Metro Area) will NOT be available during peak periods due to high volume. We will endeavour to meet specified AM/PM delivery preferences however we advise that they are not guaranteed. However anyone requesting a time delivery will incur a $65.00 surcharge to meet specified time 'guaranteed' during peak periods. Please follow the guidelines and requirements below.  Contact Us if you have any further queries.

  • Any specific time delivery requests (Metro Area) will incur a $65.00 surcharge ontop of normal delivery fee to meet specified time 'guaranteed' during peak periods.
  • Delivery will be guaranteed before 5.30pm for Business Addresses and 7.30pm for residential addresses.

  • All online orders placed between Monday - Friday for same day delivery must be received before 3:00pm. If outside this time please Contact Us

  • All online orders placed Saturdays for same day delivery must be received before 12:00 noon. If outside this time please Contact Us.  

Recipient "Not at Home" – Melbourne Street Flowers is not responsible for deliveries if the recipient is not at the location at the time of delivery. As the customer, please make sure that the recipient will be at the location on the date given on the order.

If the recipient is not at the location when the delivery is made, the courier will leave a "sorry we missed you" card at the recipient’s location and gift will be left in a secure place.*

*In the event there is not a secure place for the gift to be left the courier will leave a “sorry we missed you” card and will return the gift to Melbourne Street Flowers. We ask the recipient to Contact Us and we will do our best to deliver the gift at a later time/day. Additional delivery fees will apply. If you do not wish this to occur please Contact Us prior to delivery day.

Our Privacy Policy

Your privacy rights are important to us. We want you to know that no personal information submitted within this website will be forwarded, disclosed or sold to any third party. If you wish to remain anonymous when sending a delivery you may do so, however, your personal information must still be entered. All information gathered is directed exclusively to Melbourne Street Flowers and is used solely for billing and delivery purposes.

Substitution Policy

All products are subject to availability especially peak periods, due to high demand. In the event of any supply difficulties, we reserve the right to substitute with a product of equivalent quality and value without notice. We will endeavour to fulfill your preferences as best we can.

Order Changes/Cancellations

 Please Note: All cancellations will incur an Administration and/or processing fee. Please read out cancellations Terms below.

  • Cancellations received within LESS THAN 24 hours prior to the delivery date will incur a fee of 50% of the total order value.
  • Cancellations received within MORE THAN 24 hours notice prior to the delivery date will incur a $15 administration fee.

Unfortunately we are unable to cancel or change any orders already delivered or presently en route to delivery. If you find it necessary to cancel or change delivery dates and/or addresses for any orders, please contact us immediately.

Unsatisfied / Returns Policy

In the unlikely event where the flowers delivered last less than 3-4 days and all general care instructions have been followed please contact us immediately to discuss the issue.

Please Note: if the original delivered flowers have been disposed of we cannot arrange a replacement if necessary, as Melbourne Street Flowers will not be able to assess the cause of the problem.

International Deliveries

This website is for flower deliveries to inner and outer metropolitan Adelaide Addresses only. 

  • Ordering from Overseas for Adelaide deliveries - If you are ordering from another country for delivery within Adelaide, order online now! All prices are quoted in AUD$. 
  • Need to send flowers from Australia to Overseas destinations - If you are in Australia, wishing to order for an overseas destination (ie: NOT in Australia) please Contact us and one of our friendly team members will assist with your enquiry.

Orders for a delivery OUTSIDE Australia cannot be placed online at this website due to the many variations between countries, minimum prices for orders and flower availability. Melbourne Street Flowers will deliver flowers and gifts to most parts of Adelaide and can organise orders for delivery around the world. Please contact us to receive costing and flower arrangement options for the delivery destination you need. Delivery is usually available within 24 hours on Business days, but occasionally may be longer, depending on time zones, local conditions and delivery location. Delivery on Sundays and Public Holidays cannot be guaranteed for interstate and International orders.

Flower Care Tips

Two of the top questions customers ask when purchasing flowers are "How long will they last?” and "How do I take care for them?" Whether it's a single bud, a small bunch or an abundant arrangement, a little extra care can make a big difference.

Most floral arrangements last between 4-7 days, depending on the types of flowers used and the type of care they receive. Melbourne Street Flowers suggests these tips for longer-lasting, more vibrant flowers:
 

For Floral arrangements:

  • Keep the vase filled or floral foam soaked with water containing the flower food sachet supplied with your arrangement
  • Re-cut stems 1-2cms with a sharp knife or scissors on an angle.
  • Remove any leaves that will be below the waterline. Leaves in water will promote bacterial growth.
  • Keep flowers in a cool spot, away from direct sunlight, heating or cooling vents, directly under ceiling fans, or on top of televisions or radiators (Appliances like televisions give off heat, causing flowers to dehydrate) and away from fruit (fruit releases ethylene gas which speeds up the aging process)

For loose bunches or boxed flowers:

  • If you can't get your flowers in a flower food solution right away, keep them in a cool place.
  • Fill a clean, deep vase with water and add the flower food supplied by Melbourne Street Flowers. Be sure to follow the directions on the package.
  • Remove leaves that will be below the waterline. Leaves in water will promote bacterial growth.
  • Re-cut stems 1-2cms with a sharp knife and place the flowers in the vase solution you've prepared.
  • If you purchase loose flowers for your own arrangements you should also consider these tips.

Your use of this site will imply your agreement with these general conditions. All packages are base packages and therefore do not include any extras - specialty flowers, satin ribonned button holes, brooches, crystals or pearls, set up or collection, deliveries (unless specified).

Deposits/Payments

We require a non refundable deposit of $200.00 when you accept the quote. With the final payment required 3 weeks before your wedding date.

Cancellations

We do offer full refunds (less $200.00 deposit) up to the  28 days prior to the event.

Substitutions

Melissa at Melbourne Street Flowers will go to great lengths to source the very best product for you our customers. Our reputation depends on it. However, we are dealing with an organic product and on some occassions the product may not meet requirements and we will be required to subsitute flower types/varieties and/or colours. However we will always endeavour to match the product as discussed. when we do subsititue we will substitute with a colour, variety or flower as close to the original requirements as is possible.

Payments

Cash, Credit Card, Direct Deposit, Paypal via Website.Payments by Amex & Diners are accepted via Payp and attract a fee of 2.5%.

We have strict procedures in place to ensure that the integrity of your data is maintained at all times.

Of utmost importance is the fact that we do not sell, rent or otherwise distribute your information outside of the company.

Candy Buffet Terms & Conditions

Deliveries

We will deliver you candy buffet directly to your venue. Delivery and set up will be a minimum of 2 hours prior to your guests arriving, We will liase with your fucntion co-ordinator. Deliveries and pick up outside 5kms of Adelaide CBD will incur a surcharge - POA 

Deposits/Payments

We require 50% deposit at time of booking when you accept the quote. Final payment is required 3 weeks prior to your special event.

Damages Deposit

A deposit is required at time of final payment and will be fully refunded once all hired equiptment is returned in tact with no chips or breakages. Any chips of breakages will incur a fee depending on individual items broken

Cancellations

We will offer full refunds up to the 30 days prior to the event. Cancellations less than 30 days to event will incur a $200.00 charge.
